According to Presidential Instruction, Kodam IX/Udayana Becomes an Example of Using Electric-Based Vehicles

DENPASAR, STIGMA.CO.ID – Pangdam IX/Udayana Major General TNI Sonny Aprianto, S.E., M.M., inaugurated the Electric Motorcycle Charger (Charging Station) and handed over Electric Motorcycles to soldiers and civil servants of Kodam IX/Udayana who excelled, at the Makodam IX/Udayana Apple Field, Denpasar, on Monday (24/7/2023).

The activity began with the cutting of the ribbon by the Pangdam IX/Udayana together with the Main Director of PT. Neo Adhi Sankara, Cristian Fajar Permadi, as a sign of the inauguration of the Charging Station which can be used by all Makodam members who have Electric Motorcycles. Furthermore, the Pangdam handed over 50 units of electric motorbikes to soldiers and civil servants of Kodam IX/Udayana.

In his remarks, the Pangdam IX/Udayana said that this activity was a form of appreciation for members of the Regional Military Command IX/Udayana who excelled and had good performance. The aim is to encourage the use of electric-based vehicles within the Makodam IX/Udayana environment.

“Besides that, it is also hoped that the handover of the Electric Motorcycles will stimulate other personnel to slowly start switching from vehicles that use fossil fuels to vehicles that use battery-based electricity, because these electric vehicles are vehicles that are quite economical and environmentally friendly,” explained the Pangdam.

The Military Commander further revealed that the use of the Electric Vehicle is in accordance with Presidential Instruction (INPRES) Number 7 of 2022 concerning the Use of Battery Electric Vehicles as Operational Service Vehicles and/or Individual Service Vehicles for Central Government Agencies and Regional Governments.

“The use of electric vehicles is also expected to be one of the solutions to the issue of environmental pollution of vehicle carbon emissions which cause air pollution, especially those that occur in big cities in Indonesia. I congratulate the members who receive Electric Motorcycles, I hope they are useful and can support the task,” said the Pangdam.

Also present at the event included Irdam IX/Udayana, Kapok Sahli, Danrem 163/Wira Satya, Danrindam IX/Udayana, Asrendam IX/Udayana, Assistants to Kasdam IX/Udayana, Expert Staff Officers of Regional Military Command IX/Udayana, Irutum, Irutben, LO AL, LO AU and the Dan/Kabalak Units of the Kodam IX/Udayana.
